Hi,

I am trying to setup SQL Server on a machine with a certificate. During the
installation I get the following error:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]SSL Security error
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]ConnectionOpen
(SECDoClientHandshake()).
SQL Server configuration failed.

Now, I know that this is a problem with SQL Server and has been documented
in KB309398

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;309398

But the solution that it suggests involves removing of the certificate and
then installing SQL and Service pack.

The certificate that I have installed has a private key and cannot be fully
exported to a file.

So I cannot delete the certificate.

Is there any alternative way to disable certificates during installation or
any way of installing SQL on a machine with a certificate.

Thanks in advance
