problem with sql server 7.0 installation

Hello there
I am having problem regarding installation of sql server 7.0.
When i am installing standard edition on win2k advanced server with sp4,
everything goes fine. But when in installation, configuration of server
is started and starting service... message is displayed nothing seems to
happen for long time.
Although my system doesn't hangs.
After sometime message is displayed that configuration of server failed
and setup stays there. And i have to kill the setup.
Now can anybody answer me that how to solve this problem and install the
sql server 7.0 on win2k server.
