Hello Giac - Thank you for your support!
I already did all the things you mentioned - nothing worked.
The problem seems to be "mdac_qfe.exe" trying to update to MDAC 2.7 SP1
(which is already on disk besides MDAC 2.8). The hotfix
ENU_Q832483_MDAC_x86.EXE makes "optically" the same but seems to work. How
can I patch setup for using this new hotfix?
