I have SQL Server 2000 Developer Edition and Windows XP
Professional O/S. I installed SQL Server 2000 as the
default server, a typical installation, Local system
account, with Windows authentication.

The problem is that when I try to open any table in
Enterprise Manager, I get a "catastrophic failure" (OBDC
error). However, I have no problem opening a table in
Query Analyzer. Anybody have any ideas?

I also had a problem trying to import data from an Access
database table into a SQL Server 2000 database table
using DTS Import Wizard. I have a feeling that the two
problems are related.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
