What exactly is the error? Login failure? If so, it could be that the
password of the account used by SQL Server service is changed. This can be
reset from the Service applet of Administrative tools (look up MSSQLServer
service, Logon tab)

I have re-installed SQL Server 7 developers edition on XP. It will not start
due to a login problem. I am attempting to start it from the icon on the
desktop under the same username as I installed it with. I have installed and
used it on XP in the past with no hitches. I also have Visual Studio.net
installed.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
