Definitly exclude the database files (both data and log files) and I would
also exclude the database and transaction log backups and the SQL Server
error logs (in Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Log). If you use
Full Text indexing or replication you should exclude the FTDATA and REPLDATA
directories as well, at least if you want some decent performance.
