Ray,
This is indeed strange. The page you reference does indeed say that XP Pro
isn't supported, yet I have SQL Server Standard, Analysis Services, and even
Yukon running on my XP Pro system. I've installed SQL Server on a variety of
XP Pro systems and it works fine.
Nevertheless, it won't install on this new PC. Weird.
