Hi,
Thanks, I wasn't aware of this and assumed that the whole job ran under the security context of the NT account running the Agent service.
This solves a puzzle I had a while back where old backup files were not being deleted even though the account running agent had full control over the folder!
I was also confused by this in the early days of configuring jobs and job steps in SQL Server 2005.
