running Perfmon against SAN Disks

I've got a SQL 2005 server and I'm using Windows Perfmon to monitor the
disks. My question is, how reliable is the information I receive from
Windows Perfmon when monitor SAN disks. THe %Utilization and Disk QUeue
lengths can be high, but I imagine that's because Windows can't really tell
how many SAN disks make up the drive. Is Windows Perfmon reliable in this
case? Or do I have to get counter data from the SAN?
