Hi
My SQL Server has crashed and I am trying to attach an existing database to
a new install of SQL 2000 Sever.
The steps I followed are these:
1. Restore the database to a temporary folder
2. Opened Sql Enterprise Manager
3 Expanded down to Databases
4. Right click on Databases and selected All Tasks
5. Selected Attach Database
6. Located the database from a temporary folder where I restored it from
backup
7. Clicked ok
After I click okay, I get "Error 5173: Cannot associates files with
different databases". Then my attempt to attach the database fails.
Can anyone help me resolve this error? This is a production database and I
am really starting to feel the heat from above!
Thanks for any help.
Johnny
