This order I usually use, and it works ok

To identify which version of the SQL Server 2000 database engine or MSDE
2000 you have installed, use SELECT @@VERSION or
SERVERPROPERTY('ProductVersion') in Query Analyzer. Versions of SQL 2000
are:
8.00.194 RTM
8.00.384 SP1
8.00.534 SP2
8.00.760 SP3 or SP3a
To identify which version of Analysis Services you have installed, in the
Analysis Manager tree, right-click the Analysis Servers node, click on the
server, and then click Help - About Analysis Services. Versions:
RTM 8.0.194
SP1 8.0.382
SP2 8.0.534
SP3 or SP3a 8.0.760

Many - SP3 is security oriented.
