    Vivek,

    What error message do you get? Try and connect to them using Query
    Analyzer and let us know the error message. Are you using Named Pipes or
    TCP/IP? You need to be using TCP/IP if the Windows Firewall is switched
    on the XP machines. Double check your ports on the windows firewall.

    Also, ensure that MSDE is listening on the default port (it should be).
