Sam,
Yes, you can uninstall both versions. Then you can re-install SQL2000 as
the default instance. I would advise a couple of things first:
1) Be sure to backup your databases.
2) Detach any databases that you want to keep. That way, once you've
reinstalled SQL2000 as the default, then you can reattach the databases.
You'll have to reset or recreate your users.
