Carmel Car Service is the largest car service business in NY. We are looking for a full time employee that knows SQL server and JAVA at a high level. The person will be responsible for building our in house IT unit and will supervise vendors that work for us. We have grown rapidly in the past few years. Our legacy system, which uses Paradox, is crumbling and not able to support all the new technology that we have.
The person needs to have DBA experience, including installations and performance tuning as well as programming skills, preferably in JAVA, to help develop & support the new system (well under way by third party vendor).
Must be highly motivated, independent, and responsible.
Please email to avik_carmel@hotmail.com and since I will get it in my junk mail- make sure you write under subject the words "answering your sql question" so that I will not delete your message.
