What does "stop saving" mean? Do you get an error message at runtime, or in
the event log?

I have had much longer uptimes than that with databases measured in the
hundreds of GBs. However, we have normalized databases, running on very
expensive hardware as well (e.g. fiber connection between servers, and an
EMC SAN for data files).
