As long as the only thing that is one the RAID 5 is the data and or log
files you should be fine with a backup and restore. If the binaries,
systems db's etc are on another array they should be fine. Otherwise you
may have to reinstall sql or restore Master, Model, MSDB etc. You might want
to drop or detach the db before shutting down sql server since if you don't
it will mark the db as suspect when you restart it. Just make sure you have
valid backups and that you have tested them to ensure they restore properly
before you proceed.
