Not getting Replication Alerts

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I setup database mail on my distributor
I setup account and operator
I tested mail, its fine
I enabled the Replication: Subscriber has passed data validation and
the Replication: Subscriber has passed data validation alerts and set
Response to use Email to my operator.

I validated a subscription that I know is fine (don't matter actually,
cause I should get an Alert for failure as well)

I received no alert.

Do I need to schedule this alert in SQL Agent? It is very confusing
to me and I feel that I'm missing something.
