Its kind of hard to see what is going on here. It could be a problem doing the modification or it could be a timeout issue connecting to the subscriber.
Check to see if the column made it to the subcriber. If so re-run your agent to see if there is another problem behind it.
If it did not set logintimeout and querytimeout to large values - try 600 (10 minutes), and then re-run your agent.

Hi,
I had to add a new field. Right now the field is empty (no records).
However, I want to bring the field in the subscriber. However, while
synchronizing I am getting the following error:
Setting up to Sync PWO tables from Master to Laptop and vice-versa.
Copying selected data both directions between Master database and your
database using publication: PWO_3
Phase: Start
Phase: Run
Error: -2147201001 during synchronize Run phase:
#-2147201001 The schema script '\\usildek1-wsus\PWO
Replication\SnapshotCopies\exec sp_repladdcolumn
'[dbo].[dbo_PWO_Status]','CompanyName',[varchar(50) NULL], 'PWO_3', 1' could
not be propagated to the
subscriber.
# 27160 A column was added to or dropped from the replicated table.
# 0 Timeout expired
ERROR -- Your database was NOT synchronized, contact system support!
I would like to know how to resolve this. Is this just a timeout error or
more to it. How to resolve the timeout error if it is a timeout error indeed.
Thanks.
