You need to use nt authentication end to end. The storing of passwords was
disabled in SP2 of SQL 2000 IIRC as it was a security risk.

We are really missing the sql agent that was in SQL 2000 for automating
our
replication, but he have created a work around application now.
However, now I have found the sync center in Vista and scheduled a sync.
It started the sync at the correct time, but it asked for the
publisher/distributer passwords and then asked for them each time it tried
to
sync after that. I looked all over the place but could find no way to get
it
to remember the password.
Is there anyway to get it to remember the password so that we could you
this
to schedule syncs on systems that only have SQL Server Express installed?
Thanks
