So the interactive resolver is working for you in SQL 2005 or SQL 2000?

Yes; It DID Reinitialize Subscribers. Minimum work - check one box! Other
than the 3.5 hr DSL VPN snapshot download, it was smooth! Those who
travelled
to the main office did it in 7-8 minutes over the LAN.
It is a joy to use the Conflict Resolver, again! Most Conflicts have been
Splits -- some Winner's records need to use some of the Losers cell info.
At
least now I get DBA type information with which to focus custom resolver
programming! Let the affected User chose.

This is disabled in SQL 2005. In SQL 2000 Right click on your
publication,
select the articles tab, and select article properties, and select the
resolver tab and ensure that the interactive resolved is checked.
Then in WSM. Click properties, and click the other tab, and select
resolve
conflicts interactively.
You will probably have to reinitialize your subscribers and possibly drop
them before making this change.

How do we change from Automatic to Interactive Conflict Resolution in
an
Anonymous Merge Replication scenario? The Subscriptions are created
locally
with Windows Synchronizer, which has that choice in the Properties
(real
joy,
as that must be done by an Administrator). How do we change Enterprise
Manager, Replication, Publication Properties?
Users are very upset, and the business negatively affected, because the
defaults are wiping out newly created account information.
Back in the (MDB) dark ages, we had to do all conflict resolution with
the
Windows Synchronizer Conflict Resolver. Its downside was the delay
between
data entry and DBA attention.
