I have replication servers accross the ocean but the data volumn is so high
that on subscriber site the data is always delayed.
I have followed with BOL and changed the replication parameters like -b -c
-packet -buffer -OutputVerboseLevel etc but not enough.
I have traced on network, the network bandwidth is much higher than
replication currently using;
and checked with sp_who2 the replication connection is always waiting for
command;
I'm just wondering what is the best buffer size and packet size. when I
setup packet size to 32000, the replication speed beomes much faster,
meanwhile when I change buffers to 8 it does not help too much.
so what is the better setting for packet size and buffer number? how large
is a single buffer size? is 16 better than 8 when packet size is 32000?
Thanks
