Emma,
I just noticed your recent post with Michael and Hilary. I
also vaguely remember this thread from some time ago where
it was recommended to use DBCC OPENTRAN etc - is it the
same issue that has continued? A PSS call might be worth a
try. If your aim is as a one-off to remove the log,
although you could try backing up the database, detach the
database, move the log to a safe place then reattach the
database and a new log should be created for you although
this is not a solution for a recurring problem.
As for the mailbox issue, you'll need to make the sql
server service and the sql server agent service use the
profile you've created (it's in the article).
