Celko never responds when challenged by Tony, why?

I noticed that in almost all of the postings (Celko vs Tony), they go
back and fourth until Tony asks Celko to actually prove
something....then Celko never responds.

Why is that? (Like the 1000 parameter solution by Celko that was
challenged by Tony where he compared the performance and said that it
was not scalable).
