A client has asked us to develop a web appplication using SQL Server
2k as the back-end DB. The client's project consultant wants us to use
the schemas in the The Data Model Resource Book by Len Silverston
(ISBN: 0471380237)

Based on what I've read so far the UDM schemas are pretty extensive
and seem adaptable to many scenarios. It seems that the level of
normalization will make for complicated stored procedures and
performance will be a major concern.

I was wondering if anyone here has any comments, advice, or caveats on
the UDM.

I am particularly interested to hear about any programming/performance
issues.

Thanks
