Hi Brandon,
There is a KB article that says that there is a bug in MDAC 2.6 and you
need to apply its latest service pack.
The KB Article is
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;286359&Product=sql2k
The Service Pack for MDAC 2.6 can be obtained from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/default.aspx
On the right hand side, you will see and option of MDAC Downloads, select
MDAC 2.5 Service Pack 2.
Please apply latest service pack for SQL Server 2000, SP3, if you have not
done that so far.
SP3 for SQL Server 2000 for English Language can be obtained from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=90DCD52C-0488-4E46-
AFBF-ACACE5369FA3&displaylang=en
If you apply SQL Server 2000 SP3, you need not apply MDAC 2.6 SP 2, it will
be taken care of in SQL SP3.
HTH
Ashish
