I have a bit of an issue with my usually excellent isp. I have 4 web sites
all with an underlying sql db which have worked perfectly for 2 years until
the sites were moved to new servers (Win2003), and sql was upgraded from
SQL7 to SQL2000.

One site mostly remains up (which holds the SQL account) and the three
others fall over with monotonous intermittent regularity showing the
following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or
access denied.

I can however, connect to sql server and pull off information from an
external site whilst the others are down.

Whilst I'd be the first to admit, being self taught my code is far from
perfect, I don't understand why, when traffic has remained fairly constant,
I getting problems all of a sudden, and if it's all gone wrong, why I can
still connect from an external site.

TIA!

Buzby
