I have a didfficulties to run DSO.Server.Connect code from my web server when
it attempts to connect to analysis services in my database server. It throws
ComException with ActiveX component can't create object as error message. It
works perfectly on my development machine but not in production servers.
I copied my Repository and DSO redistributable files and placed in program
files\common files\Microsoft Shared\DSO and program files\common
files\Microsoft Shared\Repostry. All Dlls are registered successfully.
I use a Domain Account and impersonate my ASP.NET to that Domain Account.
This Domain Account works perfectly to accesing all ASP.NET pages but not the
page that using DSO.Server.Connect. I also added aspcompat directives on my
aspx page. I grant that Domain Account OLAP Administrators right on database
server.
So what is the problem that causing DSO Interop to throw this exception?
Anyone experience this before. Where can I find a step by step information
how I can get DSO work on Web Server/Database Server environment?
Any help is appreciated. Please leave ur IM or email if you wish me to
contact you. Thanks in advance.
