Re: 64bit Connection to Oracle

You cannot use a 32 bit ODBC driver from the 64 bit world. You'll have to
install a 64 bit ODBC driver for Oracle 9i.

I suppose that TNSPing and Oracle Sqlplus are working correctly with the 32
bit driver because they are 32 bit applications running under the emulation
mode (WOW64).

On a SQL Server 2005 Standard 64 bit on a Window 2003 R2 64 bit
standand server.

As after setting up 32 bit ODBC and then using the new ODBC connection
in SQL BI it lists the connection but then displays an error message
showing not resolving service name in TNSNames. Although TNSPing and
Oracle Sqlplus works fine.

When using the OLE from Microsoft it displays the error message
ORA-06413 connection not open and when using Oracle OLE is shows
unable to resolve service name.

How can you connection from 64 bit SIIS 2005 to Oracle 9i?
