Ho un' applicazione in Visual C++ che accede a un Sql Server
2000 installato su un Windows 2000 Server in rete locale,
l'accesso agli archivi usa la stringa di connesssione ODBC:
ODBC;DRIVER={SQL
Server};SERVER=nomeserver;DATABASE=nomedb;Trusted_Connection=Yes
Facendo girare l'applicazione su Windows Vista Home, l'apertura delle
tabelle sull' Sql Server risulta molto lenta,
mentre facendo girarela stessa applicazione su un computer Windows 2000
l'accesso è molto più veloce.
Qualcuno ha idea di quale possa essere il motivo?
Ho già provato a:
- disabilitare Windows Defender
- disabilitare Windows Firewall
- attivare ed utilizzare il login di Administrator
- disativare il protocolllo di rete IPv6
- disabilitare l'autotuning
non ci sono antivirus che girano sul computer con Windows Vista

I read somewhere that Microsoft suggest 30s boot up on xp home, I have seen videos on youtube of 8s boot up on xp, I'd be delighted with 30s and happy just to get below a minute. ...
