Hi,
I had an app install that screwed the MDAC install on a Win2003 Std Ed
server with SQL 2000 Std on it. And I can't seem to figure how to recover
it.
The problem shows when I try to use any of the enterprise mgr functions
(query designer, DTS designer). I get "error in dll" and "800401F9"
Component checker is looking for MDAC 2.8RTM files
ODBCBCP.dll v2000.85.1022.0
SQLSRV32.dll v2000.85.1022.0
I tried to run the MDAC_TYP to restore 2.8, but it's designed to do nothing
on 2003 and can't extract/ or catch the expanded files.
I found a security patch for sql 2000, but unfortunately it installed
2000.85.1025.0
Is there anyway I can fix the registry & Sql tools to use the ..1025
versions? or can someone tell me where to get/send me the ..1022. version
Thanks
