"30 Second Query Timeouts"

When running a query using views from a DB2 link server
within SQL 2000 server I get a query time out error.
Looking on technet the time out duration is not a
configurable option within SQL server 2000, is this
correct????
When I run the same query using Microsoft Access ODBC
connectivity to DB2 the same query runs fine. (The default
query time out for access is 60 secs and is configurable)
I can't believe you cannot change this time within SQL
Server.
Please Advise.
