SQL ( more than one Database)

Hi,

could someone give me the syntax to communicate across 2
databases. e.g. SQL for inserting records from one
database to another

INSERT INTO Database1
SELECT FROM Database 2

Both databases are on the same server. I am using SQL 2000.
