Yes, that's right, but as I illustrate in my book, if you setup a linked
server on SQL Express, you can access data from other data sources in the
report. It's the long way around, but it can be done.

Hi,
no this just means that you can only report on local data (stored in
the SQL Server Express instance). You cannot access another servers
data. Connectivity to Reporting Services can be done from the clients
to the server.
