Your version [8.00.2039] is already SP4 for MSDE/SQL Server. So no need to
install SP3a.

Confirm this by executing:-

SELECT SERVERPROPERTY('productversion'), SERVERPROPERTY ('productlevel'),
SERVERPROPERTY ('edition')

hey all,
i'm trying to updgrade my msde but i don't think it's working. i'm at the

I used SELECT @@VERSION to get this info.

Now i just installed, or tried to install, i should say sp3a with the
following parms:

setup /upgradesp sqlrun SECURITYMODE=SQL UPGRADEUSER=sa UPGRADEPWD=mypass
DISABLENETWORKPROTOCOLS=0

it look as though it installed. i did the Restart for the Sql Service, i
even rebooted just to make sure and the version comes up the same. Any
ideas?
