Xavier,
I was able to get access by using the syntax servername\instancename. I had
to set it up in the SQL Server Client Network Utility first though.
When you installed MSDE, did you use the command-line switch
SECURITYMODE=SQL? That gives you an instance with a null sa password.
Help me if you would. I was able to install MSDE on my XP Workstation the
way I wanted it. However, I was not able to install it on my SBS2003 Server.
Did you have any problems installing to SBS2003? Did you use
INSTANCENAME=newinstance?
