Hi,
I'm having a very strange problem with MSDE 3a installation on Win2K3
Server. I have successfully installed MSDE, started the MSSQL service.
But, when I stopped it and restarted it again, this time it failed to start
with an error message saying that the Service Stopped automatically after
starting. When I looked at Event Viewer logs, i found this error
The description for Event ID ( 19011 ) in Source ( MSSQL$NMXDB ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be
able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and
Support for details. The following information is part of the event:
(SpnRegister) : Error 1355.
>From that point onwards, I cannot start the service anymore until i reboot
the server. Then if i stopped it again, the same problem occurred.
I really don't know what is wrong. Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
regards,
Lau
