I have just installed the MSDE 2000 Rel A. At command prompt and type
osql -S.\MSDE -E and I got an error message 'SQL Server does not exist or
access denied. But if i use osql -Sservername\MSDE -E and it's work. I can
use the . instead of server name on MSDE 2000.
And my bigger problem is that I have Enterprise Manager on another PC, tried
to register the new SQL Server and got the same error message 'SQL Server
does not exist'? I have tried using windows and SQL authentication, both
also didn't work.
