Here's the situation.
Last weekend I installed SBS2K3 Premium Edition, also
installed SQL 2000 from the Premium Technologies cd +
SP3a to the default instance.
Last night (after reading the instructions for installing
SQL) it said to upgrade the MSDE instance that was
installed during the SBS2K3 server install (I never did
this last weekend) So I followed the instructions to do
so, up to the last screen where it was going to start
copying the files for the upgrade. Everything was running
smooth (All screens defaulted the way they were supposed
to)
Before I clicked "Continue" to upgrade the instance ~ I
decided it was probably best to backup my default
instance that was installed the weekend prior (just in
case). So I backed out of all the screens for the
upgrade, then finally "cancling" out of the upgrade all
together. Then I backed up my SQL database and went back
into the upgrade process for the MSDE.
It is now, that it doesn't give me the option to upgrade
the instance anymore. It did the first time, but not
anymore.
My only options are to:
1) Add new options
2) Remove options
How can I tell if the MSDE has been upgraded to the level
it should be at. And what level should that be?
TIA
-J.
