Thanks Jim, I got pointed in the right direction to find
some information on Microsoft's knoledge base.

Apperently my ports are setup correctly, but MSDE server
is unable to bind the selected port even though it is not
in use by another application. I receive the following
information on my MSDE server log file:

2004-02-20 15:35:12.26 server SuperSocket Info: Bind
failed on TCP port 1433.
2004-02-20 15:35:12.26 server SQL server listening on
10.22.4.52: 1433.
2004-02-20 15:35:12.26 server SQL server listening on
127.0.0.1: 1433.
2004-02-20 15:35:12.37 server SQL server listening on
TCP, Shared Memory.
2004-02-20 15:35:12.37 server SQL Server is ready for
client connections

If the Bind wasn't failing, everything would be working
fine I think.

Any ideas why the Bind would be failing?
