I'm having the same problem, that SQL server will not start after
installation.
I installed MSDE 2000 Release A into a Windows 98 Second Edition machine,
got to open the SQLServer Service Manager and when I try to Start the SQl
Server it just won't. The only thing thta is running (out of the 3 options
under Services) is MSDTC.
how can I fix this?
