Either way, you've got an indexing problem. Check the gatherer logs - you
might find mention of errors in there.

What do you mean by "gatherer"? I checked the SQL Server Logs and there is
nothing that would seem even remotely related to full text search. That was
surprising, since, at least, I would have expected to see an
acknowledgement of the full-population that I manually initiated...

Is there any other place I should look into for the full-text index events?
