Hi Hilary,
In such case, how can we solve this problem to allow SQL start taking inputs
from outside like the web entries ??
Can we tune the database? Can we change the backup directory path?
I looked at the backup directory path and I want to make a new diretcory
path for backup, then my question is how does the database decide which
directory path is choicen for the next backup? (In case I do not remove the
old directory path)
Thank you for all the help,
Frank

1) yes it does, but it would say something like transaction log full. In sql.
2000 the message is
Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 2
The log file for database 'databasename' is full.
If you are using SQL Server 2005, you receive an error message that is
similar to the following:
Error: 9002, Severity: 17, State: 2
The transaction log for database 'databasename' is full. To find out why
space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in
sys.databases
2) this message appears to be unrelated.

Maybe I can explain in detail, hope you can see what went wrong...
My server, hosts aspx pages that connect to SQL installed on the same
server.
Then, after some of our IT staffs found out the harddrive keeping the SQL
backup and transaction files was almost full, we decided to move the files
to
another location. Then, today, we found out that the bottons on the aspx
pages do not work, meaning the new data we enter into the fields are not
going into SQL.....
My question is:
1) Does SQL have some auto-shut operations that reject any inputs from
outside of the SQL, such as the web data entries???
2) I have two following events recorded, do you think they are the
problems
caused to the web pages not intaking any inputs into SQL????

The transaction log size should not matter, unless you are using
SharePoint
Portal or Team Services and full recover model. In this case you should
back
up the transaction log, although it probably is not the problem here.

Hope someone can answer my question:
On a aspx page, when I click a "Edit" botton and the page does not
fresh,
what would be the causes?
The harddrive that hosts the SQL Transaction Log Back Up is 99% full,
does
it matter to the functioning of the aspx page??
Thanks,
Frank
