Re: Server: Msg 7619: Cannot build FTcatalog

You're welcome, Oleg,
I could be almost anything, as that's why I'm recommending that you open a
support case. It could be a missing or corrupt Registry key, incorrect
permissions (registry key &/or file/folder), or DLL's not registered or
missing files. PSS SQL Support has extended debugging techniques that
*should* identify the source of the problem and if it is a bug (and it
should be, IMHO), you can ask for your money to be refunded!

As for installing HDD->HDD copy, my only concern would be related to the
registry key and did they get ALL of the necessary files as the MSSearch
components are not located in the same dir as SQL Server.... Yes,
re-installation may resolve this, but I like to work from least intrusive
(debugging) to most intrusive (re-installing SQL) when troubleshooting such
issues as this one!

Let this newsgroup know what MS tells you, if you decide to open a support
case.
Thanks,
John
