Full-Text index scheduling is not working on one of our servers. I can
right-click on the applicable table and select "Start Full Population"
or "Start Incremental Population" and the index updates with no
problem. The scheduled updates just don't seem to do anything.
Currently, the schedule calls for a complete rebuild once a week and
an incremental update once every minute (there are very few records
and there would never be more than one insertion or update in a given
minute).
I have checked the event log for errors. The only recent errors are:
Source: TermServDevices
Event ID: 1100
Description: Initialization of Notify Failed
I don't know whether the event log errors are relevant. They are
probably related to the fact that we connect to the server using
Windows Remote Desktop.
BTW, I have checked and verified that the Microsoft Search service is
running.
Any suggestions?
