DTS packages

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I am working on extracting data from one table to a text file.
1. I need to count the number of rows I get after the extraction (not
during)
2. I need to save the row count in a file (that is appendable)
3. The file need to be in such format as: filename-date of extraction
(date of extraction to be calculated). Please help
