Hello Pascal,
Hi,
We have a Vantive CRM running on SQL Server 2000 in Chile and we need
to access DBF files on a server that also runs SQL 2000 in Peru. How
can I get the SQL server in Peru to access the DBF files and then the
Chilean server to get the data from the Peruvian server? The idea is
to get both SQL servers talking together with encrypted connection.
Any clues?
Thanks,
Pascal Dorion

I'm not expert at all about the matter but i think: you can access DBF files using ODBC drivers for dBase or FoxPro depending on the proper DBMS (you can use a DTS , on the Peru server, to import via ODBC the dbf file into SQL).
Then using a Linked Server from Chile-Server to Peru-Server could be a solution?
Bye
.
