Hi,
Check following article:
XL2000: "Could Not Decrypt File" Error with Password Protected File
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=211378
I don't think you can open a password protected excel.
The following also has a reference to this issue if you want to open it
with ADO.
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=257819
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Vincent Xu

I would like to create a DTS package that will import a password
whenexcel file into SQL. But I get get an unable to decrypt the file error
anybodyI try to link it to either a file dsn, or system connection. Does
have any ideas on how this can be accomplished.
It should be simple but I am not finding any way to accomplish this.
