New transaction cannot enlist in the specified transaction coordinator

I have created a package with multiple task that I would like to
rollback if an error occurs. I did this on the development server with
out a problem by going in the configuring the workflow properties of
the tasks. However, when I moved the packages into production I get
the following error:

Connection '<connection name>' for Task 'DTSTask_DTSExecuteSQLTask_1'
does
not support joining distributed transactions or failed when attempting
to
join.
New transaction cannot enlist in the specified transaction
coordinator.

Production is a active/passive cluster and I verfied that both servers
have DTC up and running. Don't anyone have an idea what is causing
this?
