DTS Error EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

We have some DTS jobs that runs every night called via a
batch file. But since the past few days we are getting the
following error.
  
Error: -2147221499 (80040005); Provider Error: 0 (0)
   Error string: Need to run the object to perform this
operation
   Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services
(DTS) Package
   Help file: sqldts80.hlp
   Help context: 4700
Error: -2147221499 (80040005); Provider Error: 0 (0)
   Error string: Code execution exception:
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION
   Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services
(DTS) Data Pump

   Help context: 0

I googled around and found suggestive measures like (run
on the same thread process, and explicit naming of server
instead of 'local') but that does not help either.

We are running SQL Server 2000 SP3 on a windows 2000
Server machine.

Please help !
