Hi Allan,
I could kick myself so hard.. you are right I got the
error number wrong. How I managed to do it I don't know,
but I did.
Thanks for your input - your reply actually let med in
the right direction, and it turns out the oracle client
software which was needed for the source connection (to
an Oracle DB) was not installed! if only it had told me
that...
I had a person on site install the oracle client and
after tweaking a bit with that (don't ask me what he did -
he knows Oracle - I don't), it is now working like a
charm.
And I must say this will definately not be the last time
I touch DTS - it's awesome.
